This is a typical curry that most of Japanese eat at home. When I lived in New York, I missed this curry so much. One day I found the curry roux at a Korean supermarket near the 34th station in NY. I cooked the curry and the taste of it took me back to childhood. I am Japanese and this is one of my soul food.
